American Pastor Saeed Abedini was wrongfully imprisoned in Iran on September 26, 2012 while he was working to build an orphanage. Unwilling to renounce to his Christian faith, he was sentence to eight years in prison and has been physically, emotionally and mentally abused. Including beatings that cause him internal bleeding.
Yesterday, his wife shared,
It has been exactly two years today since I have seen and held my sweet husband. Two painful years of waking up every morning, seeing his empty spot next to me and realizing that this is not a dream. That his imprisonment in Iran is a reality. Two years ago this time I said a quick goodbye at the airport and told him I will see him in a few weeks.
Never did I anticipate that my life would turn upside down in a moment. Never did I anticipate the strength and peace and joy I would find in Jesus that would release me of all fears of any storms as I fix my eyes on Him.
I am in so much pain, but am feeling so blessed to have had the opportunity to share Jesus in front of nations, ambassadors, government officials and secular channels all over the world and to know my husband is doing the same in prison.
Thank you all for standing with us and praying for us. You are all our family in Jesus. Saeed and I are truly blessed.
Love you all.
As brother and sisters in Christ we are committed to pray for the safety and release of Saeed. In compliance with what the Bible says in Hebrews 13:3 – Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies. And Ephesians 6:18 – Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere
TO JOIN THE PRAYER WALL – Choose what hour and day of the week you commit to pray for weekly until Saeed returns home.
