I made the mistake of watching PBS’ Dark Angel last night — a dramatization of a real British woman named Mary Ann Cotton, whom historians believe to be Britain’s first female serial killer.

So I can really use this mind-cleanser — a reminder that there is still innocence in the world . . . .
