Perhaps the radical Muslim extremists felt like they were being ignored by the West in recent days.
I mean, we’ve had a lot of other things to focus our time and energy on.
North Korea, Russia, China, Al Gore’s new Global Warming movie, the alt-right, Charlottesville, Guam… we’ve just been very busy of late.
In fact, it feels like it’s been weeks since we’ve really been animated about Islamic radicalism… so you can forgive ISIS and their terrorist friends for feeling left out.
They decided to make it harder to ignore them by reminding us that they were still around and they could still wreak incredible havoc in the West.
On Thursday evening in Barcelona, Spain in a world famous section of the city known as Las Ramblas – one of the most beautiful sections of one of the most beautiful cities in the world – a Muslim terrorist murdered at least 13 people and injured more than 80 others.
The terrorists piloted a van down a busy street waiting for the opportune time to strike, when suddenly the van leapt up onto the sidewalk and begun plowing into pedestrians at full speed.
Ali Shirazinia, who was cycling alongside Las Ramblas at the time, told CNN he heard “a lot of screams” and saw the crowds of people split along the busy promenade.
Then he heard what sounded like the driver flooring the accelerator and saw a white van with blue markings come hurtling down the street. “It literally came right down the Ramblas and ran into people on every side,” he said.
“The Ramblas is full of pedestrians, street merchants, street performers, and I saw people flying into the air and everyone was running into the shops on either side of the Ramblas, a lot of people were shocked.”
Tourist Susan McClean told CNN that she saw a “tidal wave” of people running away from Las Ramblas in the aftermath of the incident.
The Muslim terror attacks with vans/trucks/automobiles are becoming epidemic. More than 100 people have now been killed (and hundreds more injured) in such attacks in London, Berlin, Nice, and Barcelona.
ISIS has claimed that the terrorists were acting on their behalf, though they did not claim direct responsibility.
“The perpetrators of the attack in #Barcelona are Islamic state soldiers and carried out the operation on command of [ISIS’ leader] of targeting coalition countries,” the ISIS release said.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson promised that the American government would work tirelessly to bring an end to the rabid terrorism that continues unabated across the planet.
“Terrorists around the world should know that the United States and its allies will find you and bring you to justice,” Tillerson assured terrorists everywhere.
President Trump also conveyed our commitment to our friends in Spain.
The United States condemns the terror attack in Barcelona, Spain, and will do whatever is necessary to help. Be tough & strong, we love you!
