Fire in February for the Persecuted Church coverSmall

(Voice of the Persecuted) Why do so many of us spend so little time in prayer?  Christ chose to spend a large portion of His time in INTERCESSION.  Is He not our example? Is He not the head of this body called the Church? We are the Church! And as the Body of Christ, we should be on our knees not underestimating the power of Spirit led prayer.

Ephesians 6:18-20 (KJV) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) in November, is a global day of intercession for persecuted Christians worldwide. It’s primary focus is the work of intercessory prayer and action on behalf of persecuted Christian communities. 2014 has been deemed the worst year in history for the global persecution of Christians. And with current trends, 2015 is expected to be worse.

We must press in, uniting together to lift up the persecuted to the LORD. Remembering those in the Body suffering in Christ’s name.

The last prayer call event for the IDOP was a great joy and blessing to unite with you as ONE. Let’s not wait until November to come together once more for the persecuted Church.

Voice of the Persecuted in collaboration with Persecution Watch will host a 3 hour ‘CALL IN’ EVENT to pray for those enduring persecution for the sake of the Gospel, FIRE IN FEBRUARY for the Persecuted Church. Phone in and join with us to intercede on behalf of the persecuted. By dialing the call number and entering the access code, you will be able to participate from any location using your phone. Hear from those suffering as they tell us of the extreme pressure and trials they are facing, offering us the opportunity to pray with and serve them. We can all be PRAYER WARRIORS on this call!

“This will be a marvelous opportunity for believers to come and lift up their prayers for the persecuted around the world.  But whether or not you come on the prayer call, please remember the persecuted in prayer.”
Blain Scogin, Director of Persecution Watch
Blaine Scogin, of Persecution Watch has led a national network of believers faithfully praying for the persecuted Church and the global harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God. The group normally meets via a free call-in service every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night at 8pm CST. But dedicated in their prayers for our persecuted brothers and sisters, these prayer warriors have been known to meet every night for months at a time—lifting them up as the Lord leads. Often, they host callers from nations other than the United States. And on occasion, they invite persecuted believers to pray with them and serve by washing their feet in prayer.

One small voice cries out for the Persecuted Church. More than 100,000,000 Christians around the world are at risk of persecution. It has become one of the worst humanitarian crises on the planet, today! It is ”a crisis point in history” that can no longer be overlooked, or millions more will suffer! Sadly it’s a crisis that not enough people realize exists. Unfortunately the western media rarely reports the extreme persecution inflicted on our Christian brothers and sisters, worldwide. We are called by our God to stand up for all who are destitute, to remember the prisoners as if imprisoned ourselves and to be a VOICE for the persecuted Church! Join us, we CAN make a difference!
