If you begin reconstructing the Constitution to allow for a President’s unilateral intervention at will to change laws as he sees fit, very soon every one of our rights will be in danger of the the same such tyranny. Where is the latitude for Christians who adhere to the Biblical word of God? It is guaranteed by the 1st Amendment under the Bill of Rights allowing all to freely exercise their religion. Obama has no right to now try and usurp this right under the guise of protecting homosexuals in order to effectuate his own agenda. This level of coercion is nothing less than viewpoint blackmail that bullies into silence those who have a moral objection to homosexuality.
Conservative religious groups on Monday attacked President Obama’s latest executive order, accusing the White House of attempting to bully faith-based organizations with moral objections to homosexuality.
When he signed anexecutive order Monday that protects gays, lesbians and various sub-genres of human sexuality in between from discrimination by federal contractors, President Obama implicitly disregarded the requests of major religious organizations that work with the federal government.
In a letter to the White House in early July, religious groups – including those that generally support Obama – sought an exemption from the planned order, “asking that an extension of protection for one group not come at the expense of faith communities whose religious identity and beliefs motivate them to serve those in need.”
Talk to the hand, Obama answered.
“I’m gonna do what I can with the authority I have,” Obama said, according to Politico. “This is not speculative, this is not a matter of political correctness. People lose their jobs.”
While some liberal religious groups seemed ready to keep drinking the Kool Aid on Monday, conservatives were scathing in their response.
In a statement, the Family Research Council said Obama ordered “employers to put aside their principles and practices in the name of political correctness.”
“This level of coercion is nothing less than viewpoint blackmail that bullies into silence every contractor and subcontractor who has moral objections to homosexual behavior,” the statement said.

I seek first the kingdom of Christ because everything else in this world is perishing. All that I have is from God who is always faithful. I have worked hard all my life and will continue as long as God lends me breath. The mistakes and bad judgments I made in my life all stemmed from me trying to work things out by myself. I have learned the hard way that the victory over all of my problems and the answers to all of my desires lie solely in my Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is now my desire to share the words that God gives me to encourage and give hope to others who need the strength that only faith in Christ can give.
