Publishers Note: We wonder why the U.S. is in such bad shape when we have people like Jeh Johnson in sensitive government posts. The Quran is likened to American values? Perhaps Mr. Johnson needs to actually read the Quran? Like the parts that order the killing of those who do not convert to Islam. Ever hear of Sharia Law Mr. Johnson? Maybe you ought to read up on these things before making such ignorant and foolish statements.

Jeh Johnson, the secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, raised some eyebrows recently when he likened the Quran to American values and Martin Luther King.
He made the inflammatory remarks during a ceremony by the Muslim Public Affairs Council to honor him for “his dedication to and personal investment in engagement with Muslim American communities across the United States,” Twitchy reported.
After receiving his award, he spoke fondly of the Quran, MPAC reported.
In a tweet, MPAC quoted Johnson as saying: “‘The reading of the #Quran reminded me of 2 things that MLK said a lot, which are quintessentially American values’ @DHSgov Sec. Jeh Johnson.”
A few minutes earlier, MPAC had tweeted: “‘We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.’ – Martin Luther King, Jr.”
