“Duck Dynasty” star Sadie Robertson recently voiced her support for Duggar family of the hit TLC show “19 Kids and Counting,” saying their families have “similar values.”

In an interview with E! News, the 17 year old model said she is proud to be compared to the Duggar family, who, like the “Duck Dynasty” clan, are known for their strong Biblical principles.

“[The comparison] doesn’t bother me at all,” she said. “I’ve actually met the Duggars once and they’re great people. So to be compared to them is actually an honor, not anything bad.”

Like the Duggar girls, the “Dancing With the Stars” finalist has also vowed to remain pure until she is married.

“They’re wonderful people. I actually wish I could hang out with them more because we actually do have a lot of the same values,” she continued.

The Duggar family thanked Sadie for her support in a Facebook post, writing, “This story touched our hearts. Very kind words for our family.”

Both the Robertsons and Duggars are not afraid to voice their beliefs and have recently experienced severe backlash for speaking out against gay marriage.

After the Duggars allegedly removed a picture of a same-sex couple kissing from their official Facebook page, over 86,000 people signed a petition urging TLC to remove the popular “19 Kids and Counting” show from the air and have accused the family of promoting anti-LGBT “fear-mongering.”

Last year, the Robertsons experienced similar criticism when patriarch Phil Robertson was briefly suspended from “Duck Dynasty” after likening gay relations to a sin comparable to bestiality and quoted 1 Corinthians, which lists those who will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Phil later clarified that his mission is to spread God’s word and “part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me.”

Ultimately, both families use their platform to spread the message of the Gospel to viewers.

“We see our show as a family ministry,” Duggar matriarch Michelle has said.

“When we began ‘Duck Dynasty,’ we weren’t starting it for fame,” Robertson told FOX411 in March. “We started it to get the message of God out there…I think people use fame as an excuse to lose their faith. Faith is obviously my number one priority and I think you need to put God at the top of everything you do.”

“Duck Dynasty” is currently in its 7th season and airs every Wednesday night on A&E.
