Nice work if you can get it.
Last week TruthRevolt covered the revelation that protesters were paid to wreak havoc in Ferguson over the shooting death of black criminal Michael Brown by white officer Darren Wilson, Newsmax now reports that some of those protesters were promised payment of up to $5,000 per month to loot, riot, burn buildings and overturn police cars in that city last year.
“Promised” is the operative word. Through his Open Society Foundations (OSF) including MORE, Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment, progressive billionaire George Soros paid for activists from various groups to travel to Ferguson and take part in the demonstrations. But when MORE, the successor to the now-defunct ACORN, stiffed the protesters, they launched a sit-in at MORE headquarters and created a Twitter page and a hashtag #CutTheCheck to demand their money.

More than 500 of us have traveled from Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, Portland, Tucson, Washington, D.C., Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and other cities to support the people of Ferguson and help turn a local moment into a national movement.
And to pick up a sweet $5000.
Former U.S. Rep. Allen B. West noted on his website that this was nice work if you could get it:
Instead of being thankful for getting off the unemployment line for a few weeks and having a little fun protesting, the paid rioters who tore up Ferguson, MO, are protesting again.First of all, can you even imagine getting paid $5,000.00 a month for running around holding a sign and burning down an occasional building? That’s around $1,250.00 per week. Try making that at McDonald’s or Starbucks.
The Kansas City Star estimates that the Ferguson riots cost the county $4.2 million.

I seek first the kingdom of Christ because everything else in this world is perishing. All that I have is from God who is always faithful. I have worked hard all my life and will continue as long as God lends me breath. The mistakes and bad judgments I made in my life all stemmed from me trying to work things out by myself. I have learned the hard way that the victory over all of my problems and the answers to all of my desires lie solely in my Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is now my desire to share the words that God gives me to encourage and give hope to others who need the strength that only faith in Christ can give.
