(National Sentinel) Intrigue: Michael Caputo, a former adviser to the 2016 Trump campaign, told CNN on Sunday he believes he knows who wrote the ‘anonymous’ New York Times op-ed last week that trashed POTUS Donald Trump and sought to reinforce earlier claims that he’s unhinged and chaotic.
Oh, and he said it’s a woman.
Caputo told host Fredricka Whitfield that he thinks it’s a woman who frequently screamed about POTUS Trump in her office, and who purged her staff of anyone known to be supportive of the president.
What’s more, Caputo says she “believes she’s a hero.”
CNN host Fredricka Whitfield started the conversation by quizzing Caputo about his claim that he has figured it out.
“So you feel like you’ve figured out who the person is, do you believe the White House has figured it out?” Whitfield asked.
Caputo replied he feels like the White House is getting close.
“Well, how come you know and they don’t?” Whitfield pressed further.
“They’re getting there,” Caputo insisted.
He then talked about how his sleuthing helped solve the mystery for him.
“I started with this. Who is the person who I believe hates the president the most?” Caputo said. “Who is the person in the administration who has screamed about him in their own private office and gone forward and purged their entire office of Trump people?”
He then let it slip that, at least in his figuring, it is a woman.
“I think, first of all, this person will never admit it,” Caputo continued on. “In my mind, the author of this op-ed believes that she is a hero to the American people.”
“She?” Whitfield asked.
He then said Trump should focus on the midterms but have a team ferret out the mysterious female NYT op-ed writer.
POTUS Trump has called for identifying the seditious, subversive author of the op-ed, calling it — rightfully — a “national security” issue.
