Filmmaker Michael Moore is calling on the U.S. to disarm its police and release all incarcerated African-Americans who are jailed for nonviolent offenses.
In a series of tweets, Moore charged local cops with being militarized and said that the founding fathers didn’t want army policing on U.S. soil. He also blamed “a modern day slave system” for incarceration of African-Americans and poor white Americans.
Moore wrote on Twitter:
Here’s my demand: I want every African-American currently incarcerated for drug “crimes” or nonviolent offenses released from prison today.
And the rest who r imprisoned- I dont believe 50% of them did what they’re accused of. Lies. Greed. A modern day slave system. Poor whites 2
Next demand: Disarm the police. We have a 1/4 billion 2nd amendment guns in our homes 4 protection. We’ll survive til the right cops r hired
Local cops now militarized. Founding Fathers said NO army policing on our soil. Why do cops have tanks? Oh, right – the Enemy: The Black Man
Crystal Wright, of conservativeblackchick.com, called Moore’s Twitter rant “utter insanity.”
“Liberal policies over the last 50 years have, really I would say, enslaved blacks to lives of crime and poverty,” Wright charged.

I seek first the kingdom of Christ because everything else in this world is perishing. All that I have is from God who is always faithful. I have worked hard all my life and will continue as long as God lends me breath. The mistakes and bad judgments I made in my life all stemmed from me trying to work things out by myself. I have learned the hard way that the victory over all of my problems and the answers to all of my desires lie solely in my Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is now my desire to share the words that God gives me to encourage and give hope to others who need the strength that only faith in Christ can give.
