In the wake of President Trump’s decision to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the United Nations went apoplectic.

Almost immediately the UN Security Council began working on a resolution that would nullify any nation’s attempt to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,

The United Nations (U.N.) Security Council is weighing a draft resolution that would essentially seek to nullify any move to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The resolution, drafted by Egypt and circulated among the Security Council’s 15 members, does not directly mention the United States or President Trump, who moved last week to acknowledge Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city, according to Reuters, which viewed a copy of the text.

To be sure, any effort by the Security Council to call for the U.S. decision to be withdrawn would be largely symbolic. As one of the body’s five permanent members, the U.S. wields veto power over any resolution, and U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley is almost certain to shoot the measure down.

In response to this ridiculous effort, Haley excoriated the Security Council for once again refusing to act as an unbiased arbiter between nations, and choosing to act against Israel. She blasted the council for believing that they had any right to tell a sovereign nation like the United States (or anyone else) who they could and could not recognize, and she ripped them for making peace in the Middle East less likely instead of working to make peace more likely.

The United States refuses to accept the double standard that says we are not impartial when we stand by the will of the American people by moving our U.S. embassy, but somehow the United Nations is a neutral party when it consistently singles out Israel for condemnation.

For decades, Israel has withstood wave after wave of bias in the UN and its agencies. The United States has often stood beside Israel. We did not on December 23, 2016. We will not make that mistake again.

To the United Nations’ shame, this has been a disproportionately hostile place for the Middle East’s most enduring democracy.

All-in-all, her speech is a masterclass of statecraft and of how you undress the hypocritical globalists who only seek power, not peace.

Kudos to Nikki Haley for doing what needed to be done and putting the United Nations Security Council in their place. We cannot let the anti-Semites in the UN destroy Israel or America’s future.
