Mentioned below is the link to a radio broadcast I had the great pleasure and privilege of appearing on with the late Arizona State Senator Chester Crandell.  Senator Crandell was a true “Citizen Legislator,” and understood the concept of public officials being “Servant Leaders.” The senator understood and publicly proclaimed the sanctity of protecting the sovereignty of the State from an ever encroaching federal government.  He was not afraid nor timid, as you will hear, about the wisdom our Forefathers had prescribing such defense by writing the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.  If you are an elected official, doesn’t matter what level; local, county, state or federal, listen to a senator who truly “got it!”  Chester Crandell understood well what was taking place all across our country where the federal government encroached on the dignity and sovereignty of local communities and states, and WE THE PEOPLE felt it necessary to defend our freedom from such.

I remember the night Chester said to me, “I am not fearful of being turned out of office, I will simply go back home and tend to my cows” (he was a rancher in northeastern Arizona).  He went on to say, “I am fearful that during my time in office, I will not have exhausted every opportunity to protect and defend the very freedoms that I swore to defend and uphold.”  I, along with many, can attest that Arizona State Senator Chester Crandell did not fail during his time in office to live up to the privilege he saw elected office to be.  If you are an elected official, ponder what you are hearing from one who understood the privilege of elected office, and the burdens and responsibilities, also.

It may appear odd to distribute a radio program from six years ago, but here is why:  A piece of legislation Senator Crandell wrote and which passed both houses of the Arizona Legislature then vetoed by the Governor; that same legislation has now been passed into law by the State of Wyoming making no less than seven states!  It is the Silver and Gold acting as viable exchange for purchases and investments, and considered as “constitutionally sound money.”  Second, Senator Crandell’s words need to be heard by a host of newly elected officials who may need to be reminded from time-to-time as to who they exactly do represent…especially with elections just around the corner!!

“When the people fear their government there is tyranny; when the government fears the people there is liberty” –Thomas Jefferson.
