Jessica Liesmann was previously commended by authorities for helping Dallas police put an end to a high-speed car chase. The drama, which unfolded on live television and stunned newscasters, showed her slam the man on the pavement and detain him until police arrived on the scene.
Liesmann, however, was left with a significantly damaged vehicle — at least until Southwest Kia in Mesquite stepped up to the plate.
The “mama bear” arrived at the dealership thinking she was going to receive a free loaner car to drive for a while, but the local business had something else in mind.
“Oh my God, I’m shaking. Amazing.”
“We’re going to donate a car and you’re going to tell me which one you want,” the dealership’s Bill Dickason told her, according to KTVT-TV.
Liesmann, who picked a KIA Sedona van valued at about $35,000, was stunned. The entire car, including taxes, was paid for by the dealership , KTVT reported.
“Oh my God, I’m shaking. Amazing. Amazing. It means the world to me. Like, literally everything. For all the generosity. I can’t believe it. I just can’t. It’s amazing,” she said.
To make things extra sweet for Valentine’s Day, the Kia dealership also presented the “mama bear” with a giant teddy bear.
“I cannot believe that right now. I just can’t” – ‘No crying or I’ll start crying, okay?’ – I’ll try not to, They’re happy tears.”
