“Son of Man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me” (Ezekiel 3:17).
– The role of a watchman is to warn and teach.
“…But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the Shofar, so that the people are warned; and then the sword comes and takes any one of them, I will hold the watchman responsible for the deaths” (Ezekiel 33:6).
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is taught and shared at great peril in China. Secret Police, and not so secret police, raid churches, raid houses where private Bible studies and times of worship are occurring, actually tear down private dwellings and churches where Bible studies and worship are held. Chinese government officials conduct surveillance and infiltrate Bible studies even in caves and far-out-of-the-way places. Christian Pastors are arrested and placed in jail with no due process. Bibles are destroyed, Hymnals and worship music are destroyed, and any other item associated with Christianity are either confiscated or burned. Some Christian Pastors and Bible Study leaders are taken away and simply not heard from again! But a strong movement of the one True God, Elohim (He is the only supreme and true God – Genesis 1:1; Numbers 23:19; Psalm 19:1) is taking place across the giant land of China. Knowing the great and immediate peril facing them the Chinese Followers of Jesus Christ awake and attend Bible and Worship in caves at 4:30am to 6:30am prior to going off to work! Hundreds upon hundreds of Chinese are making professions of faith, openly and eagerly accepting Jesus Christ as their Messiah (Yeshua Ha Mashiach).
America has not known such repressive acts against Christianity; and yet, it is coming, and already has begun with home churches here being served subpoenas and injunctions to cease. What would you do if your church, or your home Prayer and Praise worship and Bible study were raided? What if under penalty of arrest you were ordered not to preach or teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ? About a week ago in China a house church was shut down so the members took to the streets of China to preach the Gospel aloud. Read the story below and watch the accompany 4-minute video. Study the faces of those sharing the Gospel of Christ publicly and in defiance of a cruel and repressive government; see their gladness of heart; look at the joy surrounding them; watch the simplicity of how they are going about their ministry to any and all who will listen. God’s Remnant Church is Arising…most similar to the First-Century Church described in the Book of Acts. ~ LJR
After Chinese Officials Shut Down Chengdu House Church, Members Take the Gospel to the Streets
CHENGDU, China — Members of a house church in China recently took the gospel to the streets after the government shut down their unregistered church, video footage reveals.
A video shared on Sunday by Christopher Gregory of the organization China Missions shows Christians gathering in the public park to sing, preach and pray. Sometimes they walk the sidewalks, playing musical instruments and happily singing praises to God, such as “Nothing But the Blood of Jesus,” and sometimes they gather around to hear the preaching of the word.
Some clips show a church leader holding his Bible in one hand and a microphone in the other, as another man holds a speaker above his head for amplification. Other clips show members praying aloud in the park, sometimes stationary, and sometimes as they walk along in the open air.
The local authorities shut down a house church in Chengdu last week, so they thought that was the end of it – it wasn't. The people took the gospel to the streets and have started church services in the parks while the authorities looked on in bewilderment not knowing what to do. For the first time, people throughout China are saying "NO!" to what the Communist party wants – control. Control over what they can do, what they can believe, where they can go, what they can say. It's yet another sign something is beginning to take shape here in China, the call for Democracy! The call for freedom! Pray for China. Pray for every church in China, both State-sanctioned as well as unregistered (house church). But pray for change here, pray that the gospel reaches into men's hearts so that real change can come, then we'll see a revival in China.
