The next time you hear one of CNN’s pundits, personalities, or reporters whining about “fake news” or about being mistreated by the Trump administration, I want you to remember this moment… when you heard a CNN liberal say that Obama was “the next best thing to Jesus.”

While debating conservative Mary Katherine Ham about the ongoing Russian investigation and it’s connection to the possibility that the Obama administration had wiretapped the Trump transition team, liberal pundit and former executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus, Angela Rye, argued that the only reason Trump hadn’t yet been crucified was because he was white. Rye argued that had this been Barack Obama “there would have been no end to this” [meaning speculation about Russia’s spying]. When Ham argued that no one should ever be okay with the possibility that the government was spying on an innocent American, Rye again turned the conversation back to racism.

Angela Rye: Speaking of no chill, I don’t have any either. We’re talking about Donald Trump once again throwing a story line instead of talking about missing D.C. girls, instead of us talking about a white supremacist that killed a black man and had plans to kill more black people just because of who they were, instead of talking about the healthcare debacle we’re talking about something that didn’t happen that your president can’t even spell, “tap.” I’m directing that to anybody else besides me.

I think the bigger issue that I have, speaking of having no chill, is that if this would have been under the Obama Administration, there would be no end to this. Barack Obama had to be the next best thing to Jesus and here we are just two months in and some change there is issue after issue. Maybe it’s not Russian collusion, maybe its collusion with the Intel committee chair. But it’s highly problematic. There are skiffs on the hill this chairman could have went to to get the classified information he needed be briefed on.

I think that the bigger issue that we have here is, that in the intel committee chairman all of a sudden has forgotten what procedures he needs to undergo to study and learn and/or brief someone on classified information.

It’s a truly disturbing bit of video because it reveals the absolute insanity that reigns within the minds of some on the left. Ms. Rye cannot look anywhere without seeing racism. She cannot discuss any issue without bringing up how it is colored by racism. She cannot admit that a crime is bad, without first pointing out the racism of even speaking of the crime. It’s illogical, unproductive, and completely fallacious.

Rye uses the example of Barack Obama as the epitome of racism in America, without first considering that he was elected President (twice) by overwhelming numbers. His administration was riddled with scandal, he was caught admitting to the Russian on a hot mic that he could be more “flexible” with them after the election, he lied to the American people as he poured billions of dollars towards the Iranian government… and yet, he remains unblemished in the eyes of many Americans. Racism? Rye is not just mistaken, she is absolutely and irrevocably deluded.

I know this because she even had the audacity to compare Barack Obama to Jesus.
