Did you all see this? On the Friday episode of his radio/livestream show, conservative pundit Glenn Beck said that he’d finally had enough, and that he was doing the unthinkable.
“Media, if you can get me, Glenn Beck, to do this,” Beck said, “If you can drive me to the point to where I say, ‘You know what, I’ve had enough; I’ll vote for him in 2020’– you’re making a gigantic mistake… and I welcome it!”
Yes, Beck told his audience that he had finally decided to board the Trump train, and he ultimately credited/blamed the mainstream media for forcing him to do so.
While Beck did list an array of Trump accomplishments that made it easier for him to support the President, he laid most of the “blame” at the feet of the media’s biased and ugly coverage of the Trump administration.
The “straw” that broke Beck, was the media’s distortion of Trump’s “animal” comment.
This past week the President had been commenting on the evil MS-13 street gang when he called them “animals,” but instead of accurately and honestly reporting on what he’d said, the media pretended that he’d made the comments about “immigrants” and “illegal immigrants.”
They purposefully mischaracterized his statement to feed their narrative of him as a racist. It was deplorable, and it seems to have pushed Beck over the edge.
“So what did you do yesterday? What did you do after you said, ‘Oh, Donald Trump hates all immigrants. Look what he said. He called them all animals.’ You just deleted the tweets. You deleted them. And then you have the audacity to furthering the conversation on, ‘well, you know, even if he did mean that they’re not animals. Shut up. Shut up! If those animals took your daughter and did what they’ve done to other Americans’ daughters, you’d call them an animals. And if they’re not animals then I don’t know what is.”
Here’s an example from the AP:
AP has deleted a tweet from late Wednesday on Trump’s “animals” comment about immigrants because it wasn’t made clear that he was speaking after a comment about gang members.

Here’s Beck’s full argument, where he doesn’t just focus on the media’s treatment of Trump, but he also recognizes some of the many accomplishments of the Trump administration.
